I love making calendars. All year I think what would images would make people happy to look at next year. For 2012 I chose a combination of flora and relaxed life situations. Enjoy everyday, enjoy all seasons, enjoy every leaf and be happy.Illustration, Graphic Design, Art Direction2011 -
A first project of a publishing company called Cicada Books: a design guide to Europe, entitled Graphic Europe. The idea is as follows: one graphic designer in one city in each country in Europe will write an insider’s guide to their city from a design perspective. They will list the cool bars, restaurants, bookshops and galleries that a tourist with an interest in graphic design should visit. Then they will illustrate their city using whatever medium.Illustration, Graphic Design2009 -

This is a poster for a festival of street theater we organized in my home town Sisak.
It consisted of theater plays on open stages, street and in theaters, street artists, concerts, happenings, volunteer camp, video workshop and exhibitions.
The task here was to interest people in attending the unusual summer happenings in their town and to remove the small town fear of the festival as something "strange" and "weird". We decided that the visual representation of the festival must contain a lot of warmth and human touch combined. As a visual background to the festival happenings we decided to use an attractive warm summer color. To represent the street artist we used an illustration of a street artist's bag. Because it is a hand drawn illustration it has a human, inviting and appealing touch to it.
Festival was a huge success, many people visited. All around the town there were shows and the visual standards set with a poster design accompanied them very well.Graphic Design, Illustration, Art Direction2009 -

This unconventional theater play took place in a small experimental theater which is a part of Student Center in Zagreb. The theater itself if quite unusual, it is a small room able to host only about 30 spectators leaving the artists other half of the room to perform.
The play was a final student project for the young director. He assembled crew of three best Croatian theater actresses and they did a marvelus job.
Simple, almost invisible stage design contained the raw space and most basic requisites. It was filled with the intense personalities of the three sisters cruising through the room, at some points physically touching the audience.
As the play advanced, more and more, three sisters, from just being three sisters became immovable spiritless beings, the space started to seem like it was in some kind of unbearable glue. No matter how strong the personalities of the characters were, it made them incapable of moving and making any progress towards building a better life for themselves.
We tried to represent that incredibly annoying stuck feeling that sneaks up to you slowly and quietly in our poster design.
We took photos of the parts of set and costumes and even made a montage of the actresses childhood photos, cooked a huge pot of transparent jelly and stuck them all inside. That’s how we felt about the play. I was all just stuck there, unable to get out.Graphic Design, Art Direction2009 -

Perfect Circle and Perfect Triangle bags from Perfectionism Rules series are handmade canvas tote bags made using screen printing and embroidery.
Philosophy:
There is nothing more perfect than a circle. That's why the circle is golden. The second most perfect thing is a triangle. Together they form superstrong and magical connection. (Ideal gift for your perfectionist friend :)
Making techinque:
This item is made by combing two textile techniques - screen printing and sewing. I hand printed the golden circle using foil. The triangles (cut from felt) are additionally sewn in the middle of the circle. The bag is signed in the lower right corner with permanent textile marker.
Washing: on low temperatures, tumble dry low and iron on medium temperatures if needed.
